POSTPROCESSING FACILITIES

``postpro_geo'' and ``postpro_vort'' are postprocessing routines to calculate the $ L_{1}$, $ L_{2}$ and $ L_{\infty }$ normalized errors [16,31] of a scalar field produced by ICOSWP respect to a reference field. ``postpro_geo'' calculate the normalized errors for the height field and ``postpro_vort'' for the relative vorticity field.
The (derivative of the NCAR Spectral Transform Shallow Water Model) is used to produce a reference solution considered as a ``true solution''.
The program (sinterp) has been used to interpolate the spectral model high-resolution reference fields to the ICOSWP grids.
Note: In order to use the output from (sinterp) as an input file for (postpro_geo, postpro_vort), the output format in subroutine npr_bicubics (called by sinterp) must be changed to '(3g24.16)'.
