ICOSAHEDRAL SHALLOW WATER MODEL PROTOTYPE
ICOSWP

The ICOsahedral Shallow Water model Prototype (ICOSWP) is presented. It is the first step in the developement of the ICOsahedral Shallow Water Model, that will include local grid refinement on nested grid hierarchies.

The ICOsahedral Shallow Sater model Prototype has been developed by Luca Bonaventura (2002-5), Thomas Heinze (2003-5), with corrections and double checks by William Sawyer. The ICOSWP implementation was produced starting from the code originally developed by John Thuburn to produce the results presented in (Thuburn, 1997 [29]).

ICOSWP implements a mass conservative scheme for the shallow water equations, with a choice of possible time discretizations, accuracy in some interpolation operators, inclusion of different physical terms.
