Purpose:
Discussion on model equations. Points still open for discussion are:
- representation of the moist processes: range of choices for
prognostic quantities, issue of the prognostic variable in the
continuity equation (density of moist or dry air?)
- representation of the moist processes: comments and discussion on
Bannon's derivation of simplified models from multiphase flow (P. B.
Bannon, Theoretical foundations for models of moist convection. J. Atmos. Sci., 59, 1967-1982, 2002.)
- options for the turbulence closure
- choice of coordinate system
