Dear colleagues,
this is a message for all those concerned with
Working Group 1 (Model equations and numerical methods) of the joint
MPI-DWD ICON project. A first meeting of Working Group 1 is planned
to discuss the proposed working plan, in anticipation of a meeting of
all Working Group coordinators, to be held in Hamburg on November 14
as planned.
The proposed schedule for the meeting is the following:
9.00 - 10.00
Overview of the work plan,
status of
single work packages,
discussion on priority of specific research
targets
10.00 - 13.00
Detailed discussion on the topics with
highest priority
13.00 - 14.00
Lunch Break
14.00 - 16.00
Proposals for common coding
standards/interfaces,
planning of future activity in each work
package,
planning of next work group meeting
In order to stick to the proposed timing and allow for travelling back in the evening of Oct. 28, it could be convenient if those participants coming from other places could reach Hamburg on the evening of October 27. Please feel free to contact me regarding accommodation in Hamburg and any other organization issues. You may find a map to locate MPI and a list of hotels on the Institute web site:
